Joy comes from seeing the complete fulfilment of the specific purpose for which I was created and burn again, not from successfully doing something of my own choosing. The joy our Lord experienced came from doing what the Father sent Him to do.

And He says to us,

"As the Father has sent Me, I also send you" (John 20:21).

Have you received a ministry from the Lord?

If so, you must be faithful to it - to consider your life valuable only for the purpose of fulfilling that ministry. Knowing that you have done what Jesus sent you to do, think how satisfying it will be to hear Him say to you, "Well done, good and faithful servant" (Matthew 25:21).

We each have to find a niche in life, and spiritually we find it when we receive a ministry from the Lord. To do this we must have close fellowship with Jesus and must know Him as more than our personal Savior. And we must be willing to experience the full impact of Acts 9:16 - "I will show him how many things he must suffer for My name's sake."

 

"Do you love Me?" Then, "Feed My sheep" (John 21:17).

He is not offering us a choice of how we can serve Him;

He is asking for absolute loyalty to His commission,

a faithfulness to what we discern when we are in the closest possible fellowship with God.

If you have received a ministry from the Lord Jesus, you will know that the need is not the same as the call - the need is the opportunity to exercise the call.

The call is to be faithful to the ministry you received when you were in true fellowship with Him. This does not imply that there is a whole series of differing ministries marked out for you.

It does mean that

you must be sensitive to

what God has called you to do,

and

this may sometimes require ignoring demands for service in other areas.

진정한 기쁨은 내가 선택한 일을 성공적으로 성취했을 때가 아니라 내가 태어나고 거듭난 목적이 완전하고 충만하게 이루어지는 것을 볼때 온다.

주님의 기쁨은 오로지 아버지 하나님께서 아들을 보내신 그 일을 온전히 행하실때 왔다.

주님은 우리에게 "아버지께서 나를 보내신 것 같이 나도 너희를 보내노라"(요한복음 20:21)고 하신다.

당신은 주님께 소명을 받았는가? 그렇다면 부름받은 소명에 충성하기 위해 생명까지도 귀하게 사용해야 한다.

"잘 하였다 착하고 충성된 종아"(마태복음25:21).

기뻐하시는 주님의 얼굴을 보고 흡족할 당신을 떠올려 보라.

우리는 인생에서 어울리는 자리를 찾는다.

영적으로도 마찬가지이다.

주님께 소명을 받으면 영적으로 맞는 자리를 찾게 된다.

우리는 "그가 내 이름을 위하여 해를 얼마나 받아야 할 것을 내가 그에게 보이리라" (사도행전 9:16)하신 말씀의 뜻을 기꺼이 감당할 수 있어야 한다.

 

"네가 나를 사랑하느냐?" 그러면 "내 양을 먹이라" (요한복음 21:17).

주님은 우리가 어떻게 주님을 섬길 것인지 선택하도록 하시지 않으셨다.

주어진 사명에 절대적으로 충성할 것을 요구하신다.

하나님과 가장 가까이 있을 때 충성할 수 있다.

예수님께 사역을 받았다면 일에 대한 필요 때문에 소명이 생기는 것이 아님을 알게 될 것이다.

당신은 하나님께서 당신을 부르신 일에 민감해야 한다

이것은 때때로

 

다른 분야에서의 봉사에 대한 요구를 무시하는 것을

 

필요로 할 수도 있다.
