What a penetrating question! Our Lord's words often hit home for us when He speaks in the simplest way. In spite of the fact that we know who Jesus is, He asks, "Do you also want to go away?"

We must continyally maintain  an adventurous attitude toward Him ,despite any potential peronal risk.

"From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more"(John 6:66). They turned back from walking with Jesus; not into sin, but are away from Him.

Many people today are pouring their lives out and working for Jesus Christ, but are not really walking with Him.

One thing God constantly requires of us is a oneness with Jesus Christ.

 

After being set apart through sancitivication, we should discipline our lives spiritually to maintain this intimate oneness. When God gives you a clear determination of His will for you, all your striving to  to maintain that relationship by some particular method is completely unnecessary.

All that is required is to live a natural life of absolute dependence on Jesus Christ.

Never try to live your life with God in any other way than His way. 

And His way means absoulute devotion to Him.

Showing no concern for the uncertainties that lie ahead is

the  secret of walking with Jesus.

 

Peter saw in Jesus only someone who could minister salvation to him and to the world. But our Lord wants us to be fellow laborers with Him.

In John 6:70 Jesus lovingly reminded Peter that he was chosen to go with Him.

And each of us must answer this question for ourselves and no one else; "Do you also want to go away?"

너희도 가려느냐
요한복음 6:67

얼마나 찔리는 말씀인가! 우리 주님의 말씀은 종종 너무 간단하게 우리 마음 깊은 곳을 찌르신다. 우리는 예수님이 누구신지 알고 있지만 주님은 "너희도 가려느냐?" 고 물으신다.

우리는 어떤 상황에서도 결코 주님을 놓치지 않겠다는 단호한 자세를 유지해야 한다. "그때부터 그의 제자 중에서 많은 사람이 떠나가고 다시 그와 함게 다니지 아니하더라"(요한복음 6:66). 그들은 주님과의 동행을 멈췄을 뿐 죄를 저지르진 않았다. 그저 주님으로부터 물러선 것 뿐이다.

오늘날 많은 사람들이 예수 그리스도를 위해 수고하고 희생하지만

주님과 동행하지는 않는다.

 

하나님께서 우리에게 꾸준하게 원하시는 단 한가지는 우리가 주와 함께 언제나 하나가 되는 것이다. 거듭나서 거룩하게 된 이후 애써야 할 영적인 훈련이란  하나님과 하나됨을 유지하는 것이다.

만일 당신이 하나님께서 당신에게 원하시는 것을 분명히 깨달았다면, 어떤 특별한 방법으로 그 관계를 스스로 유지하려 하지 말고 오직 예수 그리스도만을 온전하게 의지하는 가운데 자연스러운 삶을 살아야 한다.

하나님께서 말씀하신 방법 외에

다른 방법으로 하나님과 함께하는 삶을 살려고 하지 말아야 한다. 

 

오직 주님께만 철저하게 헌신해야 한다.

앞에 놓인 불확실성에 대해 아무런 관심을 보이지 않는 것이 예수님과 함께 걷는 비결이다.

자신이 무지하다는 것을 분명히 아는 것이 예수님과 동행하는 비결이다.

베드로는 자신에게 구원을 주시고 세상을 구원하신 그분을 예수님 안에서만 보았다.

주님께서 우리에게 원하시는 것은 주님과 함께 멍에를 지는 것이다.
