Perseverance means more than endurance- more than simply holding on until end. A saint's life is in the hands of God like a bow and arrow in the hands of an archer. God is aiming at something the saint cannot see, but our Lord continues to stretch and strain, and every once in a while the saint says, " I can't take any more." Yet God pays no attention; He goes on stretching until His purpose is in sight, and then He lets the arrow fly.

Entrust yourself to God's hands.

Is there something in your life for which you need perseverance right now? Maintain your intimate relationship with Jesus Christ through the perseverance of faith. Proclaim as Job did, "Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him" ( Job 13:15).

 

Faith is not some weak and pititul emotion, but is strong and vigorous confidence built on the fact that God is holy love. And even though you cannot see Him right now and cannot understand what He is doing, you know Him. Disaster occurs in your life when you lack the mental composure that comes from establishing yourself on the eternal truth that God is holy love. Faith is the supreme effort your life - throwing yourself with abandon and total confidence upon God.

 

God ventured His all in Jesus Christ to save us,

and

now

He wants us to venture our all

with total abandoned confidence in Him.

 

There are areas in our lives where that faith has not worked in us as yet - places still untouched by the life of God. There were none of those places in Jesus Christ's ife, and there are to be none in ours. Jesus prayed, "This is eternal life, that they may know You . . ." (John 17:3). The real meaning of eternal life is a life that can face anything it has to face without wavering. If we will take this view, life become one great romance - a glorious opportunity of seeing wonderful things all the time.

God is disciplining us

인내는 참는 것 이상을 의미한다.-끝까지 버티는 것 이상이다.

성도의 삶은 궁수에 손에 달린 활과 화살처럼 하나님의 손에 있다.

하나님은 성도가 볼 수 없는 목표를 향해 시위를 당기시고, 그때마다 성도는 "더 이상 버틸 수 없어요."라고 말한다.

하지만 하나님은 신경 쓰지 않으신다; 하나님은 그분의 목표가 보이면 그때 쏘신다.

하나님께서 당신을 책임지게 하라.

당신의 삶에 굳건히 견뎌 내야 할 일이 있는가? 인내하면서 주님과 친밀한 관계를 계속 유지하라. 선포하자, 욥이 그랬던 것처럼,"비록 하나님이 나를 죽이실지라도 나는 그분을 신뢰할 것이다." (욥기 13장 15절)

 

믿음은 약하거나 불쌍한 감정이 아니라 주님은 사랑이시라는 사실에 대한 강하고 힘찬 확신이다. 당신이 비록 지금은 하나님을 볼 수 없고 그분이 하시는 일을 이해할 수 없어도, 하나님을 알고 있다.

인생의 진정한 파멸은 하나님이 거룩한 사랑이시라는 영원한 진리 위에 굳건히 서지 못할 때 온다. 믿음은 당신의 삶에 있어서 최상의 노력이다. 하나님을 온전히 신뢰하며 모든 것을 버리고 당신을 하느님께 드리라.

 

하나님은 우리를 구원하기 위해

예수 그리스도를 통해 모든 것을 투자하셨다.

이제

하나님은 우리가 모든 것을 내려놓고

그분을 신뢰하기를 원하신다.

 

우리 삶에는 아직 믿음이 작용하지 않는 영역, 즉 하나님의 생명이 닫지 않은 곳이 있다. 예수 그리스도의 삶에는 그런 부분이 전에 없었다. 우리의 삶에도 그런 부분이 없어야 한다. 예수님은 "영생은 곧 유일하신 참하나님을 아는 것"이라고 하셨다.(요한복음 17장 3절).

진정한 의미의 영생이란 어떤 것을 만나도 요동치 않고 견딜 수 있는 생명을 말한다.

그러면 우리 인생은 날마다 놀라운 체험의 영화로운 기회들로 가득 찬 위대한 사랑 이야기가 될 것이다.

하나님은 우리를 그분 권능에 두시려고

끊임없이 훈련시키고 계신다.
