We must all appear before the judgment seat Christ . . .

2 Corinthians 5:10

Paul says that we must all, preachers and other people alike, "appear before the judgment seat of Christ." But if you will learn here and now to live under the scrutiny of Christ's pure light, your final judgment will bring you only delight in seeing the work God has done in you.

Live constantly reminding yourself

of the judgment seat of Chrsit, and

walk in the knowledge of the holiness He has given you. 

 

Tolerating a wrong attitude toward another person causes you to follow the spirit of the devil, no matter how saintly you are. One carnal judgment of another person only serves the purposes of hell in you. Bring it immediately into the light and confess, "Oh, Lord, I have been guilty there."

If you don't, your heart will become hardened through and through.

One of the penalties of sin is our acceptance of it.

It is not only God who punishes for sin, but sin establishes itself in the sinner and takes its toll. No struggling or praying will enable you to stop doing certain things, and the penealty of sin is that you gradally get used to it, until you finally come to the place where you no longer even realize that it is sin.

No power, except the power

that comes from being filled with the Holy Spirit, can change or prevent the inherent consequences of sin.

 

"If we walk in the light as He is in the light . . ."( 1 John 1:7). For many of us, walking in the light means walking according to the standard we have set up for another person.

The deadliest attitude of the Pharisees that we exhibit today is 

not hypocrisy but

that which comes from unconsciously living a lie.

바울은 말한다. 우리 모두 (목사와 다른 사람들도 마찬가지로 )"그리스도의 심판대 앞에 서야 한다"

하지만 만약 당신이 그리스도의 정교한 그리스도의 순결한 빛 안에서 살았다면 당신의 마지막 심판은 당신 안에서 행하신 주님의 일하심으로 빛나게 될 것이다.

우리는 살면서 그리스도의 심판대를 늘 생각해야 한다.

하나님께서 우리에게 베풀어 주신

거룩의 참 의미를 바로 알고 살아야 한다.

 

아무리 경건한 사람일지라도 날마다 거룩한 빛에 비추어 살아야 한다. 그렇지 않으면 잘못된 한두 걸음이 당신을 실족시킬 것이다. 다른 사람을 세속적으로 판단한다면 그 판단은 당신의 마음을 지옥으로 만들 것이다. 그런 일이 있다면 바로 회개하고 자백해야 한다.

죄의 삯은 죄의 완고함이다.

하나님만 죄를 벌하시는 것이 아니라

죄가 그 사람 속에 자리를 잡고 그 값을 받아내는 것이다.

그렇게 되면 아무리 애를 쓰고 기도해도 죄를 짓게 된다.

 

죄의 삯은 당신이 그것에 점점 더 익숙해지게 하는 것이다.

그러다 끝내는 그것을 죄라고 여기지 않게 된다.

 

이런 사태를 막을 수 있는 방법은

오직 성령에서 오는 능력뿐이다.

 

"그러나 하나님이 빛 가운데 계시는 것과 같이 우리도 빛 가운데서 살면 우리는 서로 교제하게 되며 그분의 아들인 예수님의 피가 우리를 모든 죄에서 깨끗하게 하신다"(요한일서 1:7) 빛 가운데 행한다는 것을 다른 사람과 비교하여 세운 기준에 따라 사는 것이라고 오해하는 사람이 많다.

오늘날 가장 치명적인 바리새 주의는

위선이 아니라, 무의식적인 거짓이다.
