Therefore, having these promises , , ," I claim God's promises for my life and look to their fulfillment, and rightly so, but that shows only the human perspective on them.

God's perspective is that through His promises I will come to recognize His claim of ownership on me.

For example, do I realize that my "body is the temple of the Holy Spirit," or am I condoning some habit in my body which clearly could not withstand the light of God on it?(1 Corinthians 6:19).

God formed His Son in me through sanctification, setting me apart from sin and making me holy in His sight (see Galatians 4:19).

But I must begin to transform my natural life into spiritual life by obedience to Him. God instructs us even in the smallest details of life.

And

when He brings you conviction of sin,

do not "confer with flesh and blood," but

cleanse yourself from it at once (Galatians 1:16).

Keep yourself cleansed in your daily walk.

 

I must cleanse myself from all filthiness in my flesh and my spirit until both are in harmony with the nature of God. Is the mind of my spirit in perfect agreement with the life of the Son of God in me, or am I mentally rebellious and defiant?

Am I allowing the mind of Christ to be formed in me?

(see Philippians 2:5).

Chrsit never spoke of His right to Himself, but

always maintained an inner vigilance to submit His spirit continyally to His Father.

I also have the responsibility to keep my spirit in agreement with His Spirit.

And when I do, Jesus gradually lifts me up to the level where He lived - a level of perfect submission to His Father's will - where I pay no attention to anything else, Am I perfecting this kind of holiness in the fear of God? Is God having His way with me, and are people beginning to see God in my life more and more?

 

Be serious in your commitment to God and

gladly leave everything else alone. Literally put God first in your life.

나는 내 삶에 대한 하나님의 약속을 주장하고 그것들이 성취되기를 바라지만, 그것은 그것들에 대한 지극히 인간적인 관점을 보여준다.

하나님의 관점은

그의 약속을 통해 내가 나에 대한 그의 소유권 주장을 인정하게 되는 것이다.

 

예를 들어 나는 내 '몸이 성령의 성전'이라는 것을 깨달았는가, 아니면 내 몸에 하나님의 빛을 견디지 못하는 어떤 습관을 묵인하고 있는가 (고린도전서 6:19).

 

하나님은 거룩하신 성화를 통해 내 안에 그의 아들을 만드셨고, 나를 죄와 구별하여 하나님 앞에서 거룩하게 하셨다(갈라디아서 4장 19절 참조).

나는 하나님께 순종함으로써 나의 자연스러운 삶을 영적인 삶으로 바꾸어야 한다. 하나님은 삶의 사소한 부분까지도 우리에게 지시하신다. 그리고

하나님께서 우리에게 죄에 대한 확신을 주실 때에는 "적당히 육적으로 화해" 하지 말고 그 죄에서 단번에 깨끗하게 해야 한다.(갈 1:16). 매일의 삶 속에서 자신을 깨끗하게 해야 한다.

 

 

나는 내 육신과 내 영혼의 모든 더러운 것들로부터 나 자신을 깨끗하게 해야 한다. 그것들이 하나님의 본성과 조화를 이룰 때까지 말이다. 내 영혼의 마음이 내 안에 있는 하나님의 아들의 삶과 완전히 일치하는가, 아니면 내가 정신적으로 반항적이고 반항적인가? 내가 그리스도의 마음이 내 안에서 형성되도록 하고 있는가 (빌립보서 2장 5절 참조).

그리스도는 자신에 대한 자신의 권리에 대해 결코 말하지 않았지만, 항상 그의 영혼을 아버지에게 계속 복종시키기 위해 내적인 경계를 유지했다.

나 또한 그의 영과 내 영을 일치시킬 책임이 있다.

그리고 내가 그렇게 할 때,

예수님은 나를 점점 그가 살았던 수준으로 끌어올리신다. 그의 아버지의 뜻에 완벽하게 복종하는 수준 말이다.

 

내가 다른 어떤 것에도 관심을 기울이지 않는 곳에서, 내가 하나님을 두려워하는 가운데 이런 종류의 거룩함을 완성하고 있는가? 하나님은 나와 함께 그의 길을 가고 있고, 사람들은 내 삶에서 점점 더 하나님을 보기 시작하고 있는가?

 

 

하나님께 헌신할 때 진지하게 임하고

다른 모든 것을 기꺼이 사소하게 여겨야 한다.

말 그대로

 

내 삶에서 하나님을 최우선으로 생각해야 한다.
