Yielding 순종 주님은 나의 최고봉 3월 14일

The first thing I must be willing to admit

when I begin to examine

what controls and dominates me

is that I am the one responsible for having yielded myself

to whatever it may be.

If I am a slave to myself, I am to blame

because somewhere in the past I yielded myself.

Likewise, if I obey God I do so because at some poiknt in my life I yielded myself to Him.

 

If a child gives in to selfishness, he will find it to be the most enslaving tyranny on earth. There is no power within the human soul itself that is capable of breaking the bondage of the nature created by yielding. For example, yield for one second to anything in the nature of lust, and although you may hate yourself for having yielded, you become enslaved to that thing. (Remember what lust is - "I must have it now," whether it is the lust of the flesh or the lust of the mind.) No release or escape from it will ever come from any human power, but only through the power of redemption. You must yield yourself in utter humiliation to the only One who can break the dominating power in your life, namely, the Lord Jesus Christ. ". . . He has anointed Me. . . to proclaim liberty to the captives. . ."(Luke 4:18 and Isaiah 61:1).

 

When you yield to something, you will soon realize the tremendous control it has over you. Even though you say, "Oh I can give up that habit whenever I like," you will know you can't You will find that the habit absoulutely dominates you because you willingly yieded to it.

It is easy to sing,

"He will break every fetter,"

while at the same time living a life of obvious slavery to yourself .

But

yielding to Jesus will break every kind of slavery

in any person's life.

지금 나를 지배하고 있는 것,

그것이 무엇이든 간에 내가 지배받고 있다는 것은

그것에 나 자신을 스스로 포기했다는 책임을 인정해야 한다.

마찬가지로 내가 하나님께 순종하고 있다면 내가 하나님께 굴복했기 때문이다.

 

어린 시절 이기심에 굴복한 사람은 그것의 노예가 되어 이기적인 삶에 지배받는 폭군이 된다. 무엇에든지 일단 굴복하면 거기서 빠져나올 힘이 인간에게는 없다. 탐욕에 잠시 굴복하게 된다면, 그렇게 된 자신을 아무리 미워한다고 해도 어쩔 수 없이 그것의 노예가 된다.

(탐욕이란 육신이든 마음의 욕망이든,"나는 그것을 지금 당장 가져야 한다"라는 것이다.) 인간의 힘으로 그 굴레를 벗어나기는 불가능하다. 오직 대속의 능력으로만 가능하다. 나의 삶을 지배하는 속박의 힘을 깨뜨릴 수 있는 유일하신 분인 주 예수 그리스도께 복종해야 한다.

아무리 사소한 것이라도 한번 굴복하면 그것은 엄청난 힘으로 당신을 지배한다.

말로는 "그런 습관쯤 언젠가 맘만 먹으면 언제든지 버릴 수 있어"라고 장담하지만 현실적으로는 불가능하다.

그 습관이 당신을 완벽하게 지배할 수 있는 것은 당신 자신이 스스로 거기에 굴복했기 때문이다.

 

"모든 결박 푸셨도다"

라며 가볍게 ccm을 부르지만

우리는 확실히 자신의 노예가 되어 있다.

 

그러나

예수님께 굴복하면 누구든지 그 모든 속박에서 벗어난다.
