The supreme climb 믿음의 산을 오르며 주님은 나의 최고봉 4월 26일

 

Take now your son . . .and offer him . . .

as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you

Aperson's charcter determines how he interprets God's will (see Psalm 18:25-26). Abraham interpreted God's command to mean that he had to kill his son, and he could only leave this traditional belief behind through the pain of a tremendous ordeal. God could purify his faith in no other way. If we obey what God says according to our sincere belief, God will break us from thouse traditional beliefs that misrepresent Him. There are many such beliefs which must be removed-for example, that God removes a child! If the devil can hider us from taking the supreme climb and getting rid of our wrong traditional beliefs about God, he will do so. But if we will stay true to God, God will take us through an ordeal that will serve to bring us into a better knowledge of Himself.

 

The great lesson to be learned from Abraham's faith in God is that he was prepared to do anything for God.

He was there to obey God, no matter what contray belief of his might be violated by his obedience.

Abraham was not devoted to his own convictions or else he would have slain Isaac and said that the voice of the angel was actually the voice of the devil.

That is the attitude of a fanatic. If you will remain true to God, God will lead you directly through every barrier and right into the inner chamber of the knowledge of Himself. But you must always be willing to come to the point of giving up up your own convictions and traditional belief. Don't ask God to test you. Never declare as Peter did that you are willing to do anything, even "to go. . .both to prison and to death"(Luke 22:33).

Abraham did not make any such statement -

he simply remained true to God,

and

God purified his faith.

하나님의 뜻을 어떻게 해석하는지에 따라 사람의 성품이 결정된다.

아브라함은 하나님의 명령을 아들을 죽이라는 것으로 해석했다.

그래서 호된 시련과 아픔을 겪었지만, 그로 인해 아브라함은 하나님의 뜻을 잘못 해석하는 전통을 벗어날 수 있었다.

이런 전래의 믿음들은 우리에게 하나님을 잘못 알려준다.

진실한 믿음으로 하나님 말씀에 순종하면 하나님은 그런 잘못된 믿음을 깨뜨리시고 우리를 구해 주신다.

세상에는 반드시 제거되어야 하는 잘못된 믿음이 많다.

이는 사탄의 거짓말이며 하나님의 성품을 왜곡하는 모함입니다. 우리는 믿음의 산을 오르면서 하나님에 대해 오해하고 있는 거짓된 믿음을 제거하는데 사탄은 그 작업을 방해하려고 최선을 다한다. 그러나 우리가 하나님께 끝까지 진실하면 하나님은 이런 시련을 통해서라도 우리가 하나님을 바로 알도록 이끌어 주신다.

 

 

아브라함의 믿음에서 배워야 할 가장 큰 교훈은 그는 하나님을 위해서라면 어떤 일도 할 준비가 되어 있었다는 점이다.

그는 하나님께 순종하기 위해서는

평소의 신념과 모순된 일도 꺼리지 않았다.

아브라함은 자신의 신념만 고집하지 않았다.

 

만약 그랬다면 그는 이삭을 죽였을 것이고 천사의 음성을 사탄의 음성이라고 주장했을 것이다. 이는 광신자의 태도이다.

당신이 하나님 앞에 진실하다면 하나님은 당신의 모든 장애물을 통화하여 진정으로 하나님을 알 수 있는 곳으로 친히 인도하실 것이다.

문제는 당신 자신의 신념과 이전의 믿음들을 포기할 수 있느냐는 것이다.

하나님께 당신을 시험하시라고 말하지 말라. 베드로처럼 "옥에도, 죽는 곳에라도 가겠다" 단언하지 말라.(누가복음 22장 33절). 아브라함은 결코 그런 말을 하지 않았다.

그는 다만

하나님 앞에서 언제나 진실했고

하나님은 그의 믿음을 깨끗하게 하셨다.
